Sovereignty & Being Sourced

Sovereignty & Being Sourced

Sovereignty and Being Sourced
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Hi, and welcome to today’s video on sovereignty, and being Sourced. Sovereignty is a word you’ve probably heard a lot lately. It is becoming very, very popular. And I actually have several friends and colleagues whose work completely revolves around this idea of being sovereign. And we’ve often stopped to say, Gosh, we’re really doing the same thing, aren’t we? And so, I wanted to just speak to this a little bit.

If you’ve ever wondered, well, what does it mean to be Sourced? What does it mean to be sovereign? They, generally speaking, are one in the same. So when I speak of being Sourced, I talk about showing up as the unique slice of energy that you came here to be expressed as a soul.

So Source energy is the collective consciousness, God, spirit, the universe, Divine Truth, however, you want to think about it. And each of us is a soul that came here to express a unique slice of Source energy. We’re not meant to be all things in this life. We have a distinct energetic blueprint, we have specific ways of being, actions, outcomes, that call to us personally, that don’t call to everybody else.

when I speak of being Sourced™, I talk about showing up as the unique slice of Source energy that you came here to be to express as a soul.

,Being Sourced is actually trusting that knowing and that guidance, and acting on it, regardless of the impact that that may have on the people around you.

And that doesn’t mean you go around expressing all willy nilly, bulldozing people or intentionally hurting anybody, right? But you can’t control if your divine expression or the choices that are aligned and true for you are not going to be convenient for someone else. You, you can’t control that.

So when we’re Sourced, we’re trusting our own inner-knowing over anyone else’s preference, or we know what the standard is, or what the expert says, etc. We’re really trusting ourselves. Now, sometimes those things align. And that’s totally great, right? This isn’t about always going against the grain. But it’s really being clear within yourself how you work, how to read, and how you experience Source working through you. And from that place, when we make choices, they just seem to work themselves out.

So what does it mean to be sovereign? What is sovereignty? This is what Merriam Webster says. There are several definitions: controlling influence; supreme power; but the one that’s most closely aligned with what we’re talking about here is freedom from external control, or autonomy.

when we’re Sourced™, we’re trusting our own inner knowing over anyone else’s preference.

So again, just like I was saying about being Sourced, it really is being free to make the choices that are aligned for you, regardless of what’s going on externally. Free from external control. Autonomous. Source kind of takes it to the next level with the spiritual aspect. But they really are the same thing, your inner-knowing. For me, your inner knowing whether you believe in a god or use any of that language, your inner-knowing, is Sourced. It comes from somewhere. There’s a reason you are the way you are in this life and that you’re called to the things you’re called to. And following and honoring who you came here to be is an expression of Source energy. That is your sovereignty.

So I’m curious, what work have you been doing in this area? How have you been practicing making sovereign choices in your life? How have you been tuning in and increasing your ability to access that divine guidance or that inner-knowing? How do you answer the question: is this my soul? Or is this my ego? Is this my truth? Or am I just being defensive? How do we learn this?

That’s the challenge, right? So often our Source to knowing was denied or shamed. And so we learn to shut it down.  We get confused or we act confused because our truth feels scary because at some point in the past, it was it was scary for someone. And so we shut it down.

There’s a reason you are the way you are in this life and that you’re called to the things you’re called to. And following and honoring who you came here to be is an expression of Source energy. That is your sovereignty.

Being in business and being an entrepreneur is such an amazing place to practice tuning in and hearing your soul’s guidance and building a business around how you’re being called. Where else can you be autonomous than running your own business, right?

And so it’s an amazing playground for practicing what I call your Sourced Magic. As an entrepreneur, I invite you to play with this and get the resources and support you need, to be able to consistently hear your truth and trust yourself over any external force that might be wanting to sway you. Get what you need to learn to live Sourced. It makes a world of difference!

This is Darla LeDoux. Please share your comments on this your own experiences, your thoughts, Don’t forget to like and subscribe to this channel. It really makes a difference. And if you know someone who needs to hear this message, please share.

Angel Cards: When to Use Them (and when not to)

Angel Cards: When to Use Them (and when not to)
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Welcome to the space for transformational leaders to unleash their magic, see better client results, work lighter, and live Sourced. Hi, this is Darla! Let’s talk about angel cards. What are they, when to use them, and when not to use them.

I’m inspired to do this video because I received a package from Amazon today. And I have a new set of angel cards, and I wanted to unbox them. Here unboxing is all the rage. And this particular deck was recommended to me by Manda Stack who works on my team, and she’s also a Certified Source Leader. You can find her on our website.

They’re called Sacred Forest, they’re by Denise Linn. I have another deck from her that I really really liked. So I ordered these. I may have an addiction. Okay, so I thought about showing you my altar and my shelf full of angel cards. Maybe someday we’ll get that intimate.

So angel cards, Oracle decks, however you want to call them, are really a way to access your intuition. So when to use them: you can use them for all kinds of things. I will often pull a card to get some information about the energy of a program I’m launching or a marketing campaign. I might I do New Moon reading. So every New Moon I pull 1, 2, 3 cards, it depends on how Sources is guiding me. And I really keep that present with me on my altar for the Full Moon cycle and watch the theme play out. It’s really awesome. It always happens. It’s always very spot on and very accurate.

Angel Cards, or oracle Cards, Are A way to access your intuition.

Now, what I want to share is when NOT to use angel cards. And we’ll do a little poll here too, just for fun, since these are new, and I’m very excited to see them!

When not to use them is when you are in an energetic space of “someone just give me the answer. I can’t figure this out, just let the angels tell me,” right? And you’re in a disempowered relationship with the cards. It’s no different than being in an in disempowered relationship with your partner or with a parent, right? Where you’re looking for approval or answers or affirmation outside of yourself because you’re not in a clear and grounded place. Most often, it just doesn’t really work, right? You’re not you’re going to get the card and you’re going to go, that doesn’t feel right, or you might act on it. And it and it’s really, it’s not a connected message.

You know, this is just mirroring to you. What’s already going on for you or is already up for you energetically and where you’re being invited to go energetically. So if your energy’s funky and off, and you’re desperate, and you’re hoping something will give you the answer, it’s just not the same impact, right?

So you want to have a really empowered relationship with the cards. I think you can have a card addiction, right? Like, oh, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what action to take. Let me just pull a card. I’ll just pull a card. Let me do it again. Right, and it can be fun. And, again, we want to be coming from this Source, this grounded, connected, empowered place as we do.

When not to use them is when you are in an energetic space of “someone just give me the answer. I can’t figure this out, just let the angels tell me,” right?

And when we do, I just, I mean, you can’t make this shit up, right? In retreats, I’ll often put a card at people’s seats. And you know, they don’t know what card is at their seat, when they pick their seat. It ends up being the message that is exactly this thing that their soul needs to hear. So I love them. I think they’re a brilliant tool to connect with Source.

They are not the only tool, and they should not you know you, you as a Source leader. You want to be in command of the tools that work for you. I’ve had clients who like sitting still to meditate just doesn’t work for them. They are sensation magicians, they have to move the energy, but an intentional walk or a dance that’s really you know, not to avoid being still with yourself but those really intentional is exactly what’s needed.

For some people the cards just aren’t your thing. They’re not going to resonate, but maybe, you know, I have a lot of people who essential oils really like connecting with the scent of the oil shifts something and it opens them up, right. And other people, it doesn’t resonate at all. And so, you know, certainly if it doesn’t resonate, don’t, don’t go for it. But you want to have an empowered relationship, and you want to be in choice and in relationship, really not with the card, right, but with your soul.

So what is your soul here in the reading of the card, and what information is, is really relevant for you. I want to say one other thing, and then I’ll pull a card for us collectively, I see a lot. And I think it’s super fun. And, and I enjoy it when people post on social three cards, right? And it’s like, one, two, or three, which one is your card, and then they give the reading. And that’s great. Like, it’s fun, it can connect people. This also gives a clue to people that, that your spiritual, right, or your woo woo or whatever your woo friendly.

You want to be in command of the tools that work for you.

And so if you’re someone, let’s say who’s had a very practical, professional looking business, doing card polls on your social media might be like a perfect thing to cue to people that you’re actually spiritual, and that you have, you know, other tools in your toolkit or whatever. And it can be really, really great, a great introduction to that. It’s not often a big conversion tool, right?

Because what it’s basically saying is, here’s information about yourself to help you right now. But it’s not helping people to look at their own inner commitment. And that’s really the key to marketing transformation is helping people to look at, what are they committed to? Where’s their discomfort right now? What do they desire? And what’s the gap?

And so if you’re using a tool like this as like a fun, you know, connection tool on social media, you also want to think about what is the tool that I’m using to help cultivate people’s commitment to transforming and to joining a program or hiring you to help them transform. And so the hands-off kind of like reading the card usually isn’t going to do that, unless there’s some reflections, some interaction, some sharing, or you’re asking questions, and you’re helping them to discover their commitment.

Okay. Okay, so should we pull a card in my new deck called Sacred Forest? Okay, get your question in mind, I want you to think about what’s going on in your life right now that you wish you had some information about. And we are going to trust that whoever is watching this video is divinely meant to hear this particular message and I’m getting that it’s this one.

So the card is Toadstools. Toadstools. I’m not sure how close I can put that.

The word under it says, “GROWTH.” So let’s see what the Toadstools has to say:

“Things that have been incubating beneath the surface are going to be coming to fruition. Get clear on your goals and dreams because rapid growth is ahead

Be ready for these projects to come to fruition. You must first be starkly honest with yourself about what you want. Ask yourself, Is this what I really want? Believe in miracles. Also, in the time ahead, you might discover a spiritual guru or step into a new spiritual path, you might find that you are providing expansive spiritual growth for others, simply by being who you are.”

This is funny, right, because we just talked about cueing to other people that you are spiritual!

“Make sure that your foundations are in place, because once this growth begins, you will be in for a journey of a lifetime. Fungi are ancient and were the first organisms to leave the water and initiate life on Earth 1.3 billion years ago. In the forest, their interconnected filament-like roots provide protein rich food and life for the entire forest. This seemingly humble ancestor to the toadstool is so essential that none of our native conifers would survive without the life-giving qualities of their roots. Their ability to grow and survive throughout all time speaks of your ability to grow and thrive no matter what life brings. The spirit of the toadstool says beneath the surface of your life, miraculous changes are occurring. Something that you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

I love this: “something you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

“You are in a time of rapid spiritual and material growth. Get ready and hang on for the ride.”

So exciting! Take a moment and reflect on what is the message for you in that?

How does that relate to what’s actually going on actively for you in your life and your business today?

“Something that you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

How true does that feel that you are on a spiritual journey that that you have something that seemed ordinary or something that you’ve been building below the surface that seemed ordinary?

That’s actually amazing. And it’s going to explode? I’m thinking of another video I recorded called Make this your Masterpiece. I invite you to watch that because it feels like it connects to this message today.

If you need support with this message, right and really having your foundations for whatever is about to explode, please let me know: support at sourcedexperienced.com. And really if you want to understand what tools work for you, how does Spirit communicate with you? How do you show up as your best self in your life and your business? We are the resource for you. Please do let us know. Have an amazing, amazing and really what is the word I’m looking for connected right interconnected day!

The Big Ask

The Big Ask

The Big Ask

By Tara Galeano, Sexual Empowerment Coach at Rediscovering My Body

How do you ask for what you want?
In your business? With your lover?
Are you whining? Complaining? Coercing?

Recently, I learned that I was deficient in my asking skills. Even though I wanted to have more intimacy in my life and a more profitable business, I was sabotaging myself and my relationships. The truth was that I’d never learned how to ask. In my professional life, people viewed me as polite and cordial. However, I’d wreak havoc in my personal life by pretending I didn’t have any needs (or I can do it myself) or giving ultimatums when I did have a desire- not a very successful strategy for relational harmony. Can you relate?

When I began to explore what I’d been avoiding and denying in my own body, I recognized a hunger for something more: more adventure, more exploration, more love. I had limited myself by NOT making requests, particularly with my lover. Again, I ignored, endured, denied, or demanded. Does this sound familiar?

I recognized a hunger for something more: more adventure, more exploration, more love.

My body told me that I wanted a profound, intimate, orgasmic connection consistently, effortlessly and that I absolutely could have all that juiciness whenever I liked. There was nothing to be afraid of, just more bliss. When I tapped into this tremendous power, my life changed, my love life changed, my business changed because I changed. I have the most sensual, timeless sex of my life and I’m fifty. My business is full. I’m happy and content. And I know I can have more whenever I’m ready. Want to know my secret to success?

I have the most sensual, timeless sex of my life and I’m fifty. My business is full. I’m happy and content.

First, I trusted the wisdom of my body to know how to assess the situation. Our bodies are incredible instruments that allow us to be sensitive to what is true at all times, if we let it. I didn’t always trust my body. Childhood molestation created a disconnect in my life. I was afraid to be in my body, to have unwanted sexual attention, and to get hurt. Now I know that when I trust my body, I know who to ask, when to ask, and how to ask. I needed to learn to trust myself as an adult.

Second, I became more compassionate with myself and developed skillful means with others. This is a new skill for many of us, particularly as women. As we learn, we make mistakes; things could get messy. My advice is to be gentle with yourself.

Our bodies are incredible instruments that allow us to be sensitive to what is true at all times, if we let it.

Here are the keys to making a request: how, when, whom to ask, and repeat.

How: Ask kindly, clearly, and precisely. Set up positive expectations.

When: Timing is critical. This is a measure that you must do consistently.

Who to ask: Assess the others’ capacity to hold you in all of who you are. Are they in their integrity? Do they have the skills to respond the way you want them to respond?

Repeat: This is the most important part. If you do not do this again, you are assuming. That will create the same problem. Assumptions are boring. There is no excitement there. Asking is super sexy.

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affects Your Sales

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affects Your Sales

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affect Your Sales
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Welcome to the space for transformational leaders to unleash their magic, see better client results, work lighter, and live Sourced.

Hi, this is Darla LeDoux, founder of Sourced and author of Shift the Field, and welcome to this video about interacting without impact.

This could also be called the curse of being nice. Are you a nice person? One of our mentors used to always say serial killers are nice. That’s how they get you to get in the van with them, right?

Yet I know for me, this is something that I’ve personally dealt with. I like people to like me. I like to be a nice person. Now, the alternative is being kind and kind is better than nice. But I don’t know about you. But I like to be perceived as a nice, good person. I like people to like me. It really bothers me, not so much anymore, since I’ve done this healing work. But it’s always really, really bothered me when people don’t like me. And so how does that bode for being a transformational leader, and really having your conversations or your interactions with people make an impact?

If you want to help people to understand that they can create from a whole new energy space and have their life be totally different, you’re probably not going to do that by being nice and being liked by everybody.

Being a transformational leader is not for the faint of heart. If you are someone who wants to spread possibility on the planet, wants to help people to understand that they can create from a whole new energy space and have their life be totally different, you’re probably not going to do that by being nice and being liked by everybody. You’re just not. And so you need to get some clarity about your commitment to making an impact, and what is the priority of that as compared to your commitment to being nice or fitting in or being liked or toeing the line?

What I find is, you know, I review people’s conversations, coaching conversations, sales conversations as part of my certification program. And one of the things I find a lot of times is the place where someone kind of loses impact or loses potency in the conversation is right where I can, I can almost hear them thinking something and hear them suppressing it, like not actually speaking the truth of what’s present for them. Because they don’t want to ruffle feathers or upset.

There’s a whole host of reasons why. In fact, in my first book, I wrote about a story about a client who she literally her mom would lock herself in the closet or not in the closet in her bedroom and not come out for days, if she said something to upset her mom days, right? And she’s like, six. And so she learned what I say can really cause problems for people. And so she would think something, she would suppress it, she would not say it, she would say something else. And then the sale call would just kind of fizzle out, right? Because she wasn’t speaking truth. She wasn’t seeking impact. In fact, she was trying to avoid impact.

the sale call would just kind of fizzle out, right? Because she wasn’t speaking truth. She wasn’t seeking impact. In fact, she was trying to avoid impact.

This happens a lot, right? Where we are instantly for a whole host of reasons suppressing ourselves. This came up the other day, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine that I met here in my new city, a new friend who has a job.

And she asked me, What do you do when someone says they’re authentic? But you know, they’re not. And I thought, well, I don’t know, that doesn’t happen a lot where people come and tell me how authentic they are. But she was having this experience. I said, Tell me more. And there was a person that she works with who you know that one of the things she talks about a lot is how important authenticity is to her. And yet she found out that this person had gone behind her and talked to the boss or done something that was kind of backstabbing, that, you know, was going against her claim about being so authentic. And so she said, Well, what, what would you do? I said, Did you talk to her about it? Did you let her know? Did you have a conversation about what happened and how it impacted you? Oh no, I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t do that right, that would just like, politically at my company, that would be bad. I can’t do that. And so she didn’t, right.

And so the conversation I had with her is, well, you know, this is really about what are you committed to. And if you’re committed to authenticity, right, these things are always a mirror, right? If you’re committed to authenticity, then being a leader committed to authenticity would mean you’d have a conversation with her. And you’d let her know the impact, even if you know, it’s going to have a consequence in your company. Right? That’s what it is to have an impact. That’s what it is to have an impact is to say your truth, even if there’s going to be a consequence, or people are going to have a reaction or people might not like you, or it might, you know, create some political upheaval.

That’s what it is to have an impact is to say your truth, even if there’s going to be a consequence, or people are going to have a reaction or people might not like you.

If you being in your truth creates political upheaval, that upheaval probably needed to happen, right? And if that upheaval, upheaval happens in a way, that doesn’t work for you, then it’s probably not the right company for you. And so again, just like in a sales conversation with a potential client, if you hold back because you don’t want to upset them, you’re probably not going to get the sale. In this kind of situation, if you are holding back to keep your job, you’re probably not going to be really happy in that job. And so all of this is coming from fear or scarcity.

If I upset you, I won’t have you as a client, and then I will not have enough money. If I upset you, I won’t have you in my life. And then I’ll be alone. And I will feel afraid. If I speak my truth, and I upset you, and I lose my job. Now I don’t have money, right? But it’s like, you would find a new job 100% every time we suppress ourselves out of fear, we’re actually losing our ability to make a real impact. Now, that doesn’t mean everybody has to go around being a transformational leader and making an impact in the world in that way. I hope. I hope it continues to spread I you know, it really is.

But that’s not true for everyone. But if that’s your commitment, and that’s why I asked her right, what is your commitment here? Are you committed to being that kind of leader? And if so you got to have the conversation? And if you’re not, then you’re not, then don’t get upset, right? Don’t get upset with someone who’s out of alignment, if you’re also choosing that path. Is this helpful?

if you are holding back to keep your job, you’re probably not going to be really happy in that job.

What are you hearing in this? How might this be showing up in your life where you’re interacting with people, but you’re keeping it surface? You’re not really going there, you’re not having the potency and therefore you’re not having the impact that you could have? Where’s this showing up? And how is it affecting your ability to attract clients to convert clients and to powerfully serve your clients in this space?

I’d love to hear if this is helpful, please like please subscribe, spread the word. It really does matter for me, and for our community to draw more like-minded folks who are committed to really having that impact. This is Darla LeDoux. And I’ll see you soon!
