I know this might be hard to hear…
But you likely have a sticky relationship with your personal DRIVE as a business owner…
… and don’t get me started on STRUCTURE – we either resist it or get boxed in by it!
Don’t worry, you’re not alone.
We’ve been raised in a patriarchy… all of us… even though it’s dying. So we come by ‘daddy issues’ honestly.
And if you’re anything like me, you’ve also been raised by parents who didn’t relate to one another in the healthiest of ways.
For me, that looked like a father who was absent and verbally chastised by my mother, and a stepfather who seemed like he was going to be OK, but then pulled the rug out from under me when he threatened to kick me out (I was 8).
So, of course, I developed a healthy distrust of the masculine. And a desire to just control it all myself.
But I was in business for YEARS before I understood the impact this was having on me, and my relationship to the structures that hold my business.
Quite frankly, I didn’t trust them.
When we don’t trust the masculine…
When we don’t trust the masculine, we simply can’t rely on the structures of our business to hold us in the way they could.
A lack of trust may look like:
- Outlining structures (offers, funnels, prices, standard operating procedures), and then not trusting what we created.
- Hiring team members and not actually expecting them to do what we asked (and not asking them to be clearly accountable for it!)
- Creating organizational systems and workflows that you then don’t follow…
- Making backup plans rather than allowing yourself to fully relax into your work and let your business support you.
- And more!
When we resist the masculine in ourselves, we may struggle…
- To make firm decisions.
- To ask others to make a clear decision to hire and pay us.
- To let ourselves be perceived as ‘bossy.’
- To issue a redirection when something (or someone) is flowing in a direction that doesn’t work for us.
When we resist the masculine in ourselves, we may struggle…

When we BECOME the masculine…
On the other end, we may become the thing we didn’t receive in our early years, believe we MUST be the masculine, and the feminine, and #allthethings…
- Creating our business in such a way that we ARE the structure, rather than creating a structure outside of us to support us. This manifests as clients or team waiting for us to tell them what to do, rather than stepping into their sovereign authority, and more.
- Taking over for a male spouse or child who could be handling so much more for himself. Who has time to run a business when we’re doing all the things?
- Assuming that running a business means being in your masculine expression – after all, this is the model we’ve been given. AND, you’ve learned well how to do both to survive.
So, as I said, let’s heal our daddy issues!
Imagine what is possible when…
Imagine what is possible when…
- We learn to TRUST the masculine in ourselves, and others, as well as systems and structures designed to support us.
- We witness the young part of ourselves who still feels hurt because she didn’t get witnessed at the time.
- Let’s help her release the death grip on that pain.
- We release our need to be right about who did and didn’t support us in the past, so we can actually create!
- We call in mutually supportive people in sacred reciprocity.
- We honor and acknowledge the badass decision-maker within who can create worlds with her clear communication.
Because here’s the thing – structure is important.
Not in a confining way, but in the way that the river bank holds the flow of water. No bank, no river. No structure, no flow.
The only way to change the flow of the river is to remodel the structure.
The only way for us, magical leaders, to step more into the flow of our magic is to remodel the structure within which we are operating.
Structure matters.
And remodeling a structure is actually not that hard.
Let me say it again – remodeling structure is actually not hard.
And you, as a human in a female body, are actually surprisingly great at it!
And it DOES NOT require you to BE masculine to utilize the energy – in fact, you can be so sensuously feminine and still wield its power.
Because here’s the thing – structure is important.
Not in a confining way, but in the way that the river bank holds the flow of water. No bank, no river. No structure, no flow.
The only way to change the flow of the river is to remodel the structure.
The only way for us, magical leaders, to step more into the flow of our magic is to remodel the structure within which we are operating.
Structure matters.
And remodeling a structure is actually not that hard.

And you, as a human in a female body, are actually surprisingly great at it!

BUT I’M BAD AT STRUCTURE
OK, so D, you may ask, “If I am so great at structure, why do I think I’m so bad at it?”
Great question!
What if you are not bad at it, you simply have unresolved baggage around masculine energy that is keeping you from embracing…
- Your natural ability to create structure in your business.
- Your natural drive to build and create something fantastic.
- Your desire to deeply trust people, structures, and yourself.
I’m D. LeD, and I have found this to be true for me.
There were moments that shaped me in my own childhood in witnessing the dynamics of my mother with my father and stepfather, and the conversations in my familial ancestry at large, that had me:
- Create structure, then resent it.
- Take on roles that were outside of my own desire because others weren’t doing them.
- Assume that no masculine energetic could be trusted (including structures and drive).
- Dumb down my drive so as to not outshine my male counterparts, or be like other driven people who seemed destructive.
- Resent the body I was in and the assumed limitations it gave me in our culture.
It wasn’t until Source guided me to work with my own relationship to masculine energy in a big way that this started to shift for me.
I worked on my relationship with my stepdad (even though he had passed years prior). And I began to unfold memories about my father, who then got sick and passed quite quickly.
I began to see them clearly and resolve my interpretations of them. And it freed me to be as masculine as I want, and as feminine as I want.
And so much freedom to create has opened up for me in my business.
Structure occurs completely differently – not as something I have to hold personally and watch over, but something that I can build and have exist completely independent of me – solely to serve and support me! (Woah!)
And my DRIVE has opened back up as well. I saw how I’d been limiting myself with a ceiling that was created as a result of all of the assumptions above. I am more committed than ever to growing a large business that serves and supports me and other women who dare to lead from sovereign authority.
I didn’t get here by trying harder to find a big vision, or by being more disciplined and succumbing to the structure.
I got here by opening up my channel to access all of the divine masculine energy available to me that I desire.
I’ve been letting go of the beliefs and judgments that were limiting me from being able to be all the things I’m drawn to be. I’ve been learning to trust that others can reliably provide structure as well.
And that’s why I’ve created…
