In fact, it hurts. It reminds us of what is missing.

If strangers on the internet could see the real me, but my own mother can’t, that’s painful stuff. (I get it).

And so we protect it. The real version of us, our magic, is neatly tucked away.

How brilliant we were to hide ourselves! Because when we were sparkly and magical, we got dismissed, silenced, or lost love.

But it's time for a new day. For letting ourselves be seen and FELT.
