Webinars for Transformation
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Have you ever been told you should do a webinar and you couldn’t figure out how the beautiful transformational work you love to do translates to this masculine, sterile structure? You probably pictured a PowerPoint slides strategy that kind of makes you want to cringe?

It’s a little bit different than what you might get if you’ve ever downloaded a free slide deck. I’ve actually seen them called pitch deck templates, which is so not feminine and so doesn’t feel Sourced.

You’ve tried to fit your work into these beautiful little bullet points and reverse engineering your offer and all of those things. And it just hasn’t felt right.

Now, here’s what I want you to know. I have done traditional webinars. I totally understand them, I may do them again, at some point, because there are times where it’s just really perfect. What you’re offering has a clear structure and/or framework. There are a few steps that you’re selling and you are able to highlight them in the webinar. You give little snippets of the WHAT, but not the HOW, and THEN you offer the how at the end for your program.

That is a great use of a webinar. Sometimes you might use the points of your webinar to paint a picture of the problem the client has, and then, of course, your offer helps to solve it. That can be really great as well. When you love transformation, and you want to help your client, you want to invite your client into a journey of deep inner work. Sometimes it feels like those bullet points just don’t quite fit the bill.

YOU are an expert at the work you do and what you’re offering in this program.

Let it be a creative process. I have a past client who used to say, “love up your marketing.”

Give yourself creative space

I worked with a client on this recently, where we looked at what is it? What is the program she wants to offer? You want to get really clear about where you’re leading people. Use your magic to tune in to this program or this offer to get a sense of what it is and how it wants to show up. I’ll have my clients tune into the energy of it.

If you haven’t taken the Sourced Magic Quiz, you can take it here.

Maybe your magic is going to give you a word or an expression or a theme about the offer that you’re actually making. You want to ask yourself, How do I help someone in an hour, in a webinar, to become committed to doing the work available in this program? What do they need to know be aware of or be present to in order to say yes to the program?

That’s the first piece. Then you want to tune in, and ask your soul and ask your expertise,  “How do I help my client get to the place that they need to be to say yes to the program?”

YOU are an expert at the work you do and what you’re offering in this program. Let it be a creative process. I have a past client who used to say, “love up your marketing.” Give yourself creative space

If you’re a Sensation Magician, maybe you dance and you feel it. It comes through you physically – to know what you want them to experience. Then you have to figure out how to translate that.

If you are an Expansion Magician, maybe you journal and you say, ‘Gosh, if there were no limits, what would I want them to know? If there were no limits to that, how would I want them to know this? If there were no limits, what would I want them to do?”

Now is the important part. How do you create the context for that experience? And how do you debrief that experience?

If you’re Recognition Magician and you get a lot of visuals, you might do a visualization to say ‘show me how to help them become aware of what they need to become aware of to say yes to this program.’

A lot of times when our clients do this, what comes forward is some kind of experience they want their client to have. We work with a lot of retreat leaders. They love experiences. So it could be a visualization or an activity or a journal exercise. Sometimes it’s actually a physical thing like doing something with magazines or painting – something very creative and experiential.

It’s the experience that’s going to help them discover if they really want to solve this problem. How important is it to them to solve this problem? That’s what you’re having them discover in this webinar.

So now, your webinar does not look like four bullet points and a stodgy slide deck – it is now an experience. That’s great.

Now is the important part. How do you create the context for that experience? And how do you debrief that experience? You want them really looking at what is going on in their life, in their business, in their sex life, and their health. What is really going on now that they want this experience, have them get really real about it, encourage people to share about it, and let it get vulnerable.

By the way, even before this, you’re creating the context of your own experience with this thing so YOU’RE getting vulnerable so THEY can get vulnerable before you even have the experience. If you’re not doing this, then the experience is just an exercise that’s going to be interesting for them. But it’s not going to have the impact you are looking for.

You’re here to help them get clear about their commitment to doing the work. And then to get clear about their commitment to doing the work with YOU.

You want to then debrief the experience. You’ve got to debrief it so they can get a lot of juice out of what they just experienced and they get to experience that having your eye on what they’re experiencing. That adds value. That support of your coaching, your magic, adds value to what they could have figured out on their own. It’s this piece that you’re bringing in your container that’s so important. It also helps them feel safe in the community if you’re offering something that’s a group program.

You’re here to help them get clear about their commitment to doing the work. And then to get clear about their commitment to doing the work with YOU. And that is the purpose of this thing that we might call a webinar, that doesn’t have to have slides. It doesn’t have to have five bullet points and an offer in a structured way. Then you need to spend 10 to 15 minutes on your offer.

You need to be really confident and excited and happy about your offer. And that’s a whole other video. But I hope this is helpful.

This is where you want to get Sourced. You want to be able to tune in to your own inner- knowing of who your client is, what it is that they need, and what the actual awareness is they need to have in order to take the next step.

Sovereignty & Being Sourced

Sovereignty & Being Sourced

Sovereignty and Being Sourced
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Hi, and welcome to today’s video on sovereignty, and being Sourced. Sovereignty is a word you’ve probably heard a lot lately. It is becoming very, very popular. And I actually have several friends and colleagues whose work completely revolves around this idea of being sovereign. And we’ve often stopped to say, Gosh, we’re really doing the same thing, aren’t we? And so, I wanted to just speak to this a little bit.

If you’ve ever wondered, well, what does it mean to be Sourced? What does it mean to be sovereign? They, generally speaking, are one in the same. So when I speak of being Sourced, I talk about showing up as the unique slice of energy that you came here to be expressed as a soul.

So Source energy is the collective consciousness, God, spirit, the universe, Divine Truth, however, you want to think about it. And each of us is a soul that came here to express a unique slice of Source energy. We’re not meant to be all things in this life. We have a distinct energetic blueprint, we have specific ways of being, actions, outcomes, that call to us personally, that don’t call to everybody else.

when I speak of being Sourced™, I talk about showing up as the unique slice of Source energy that you came here to be to express as a soul.

,Being Sourced is actually trusting that knowing and that guidance, and acting on it, regardless of the impact that that may have on the people around you.

And that doesn’t mean you go around expressing all willy nilly, bulldozing people or intentionally hurting anybody, right? But you can’t control if your divine expression or the choices that are aligned and true for you are not going to be convenient for someone else. You, you can’t control that.

So when we’re Sourced, we’re trusting our own inner-knowing over anyone else’s preference, or we know what the standard is, or what the expert says, etc. We’re really trusting ourselves. Now, sometimes those things align. And that’s totally great, right? This isn’t about always going against the grain. But it’s really being clear within yourself how you work, how to read, and how you experience Source working through you. And from that place, when we make choices, they just seem to work themselves out.

So what does it mean to be sovereign? What is sovereignty? This is what Merriam Webster says. There are several definitions: controlling influence; supreme power; but the one that’s most closely aligned with what we’re talking about here is freedom from external control, or autonomy.

when we’re Sourced™, we’re trusting our own inner knowing over anyone else’s preference.

So again, just like I was saying about being Sourced, it really is being free to make the choices that are aligned for you, regardless of what’s going on externally. Free from external control. Autonomous. Source kind of takes it to the next level with the spiritual aspect. But they really are the same thing, your inner-knowing. For me, your inner knowing whether you believe in a god or use any of that language, your inner-knowing, is Sourced. It comes from somewhere. There’s a reason you are the way you are in this life and that you’re called to the things you’re called to. And following and honoring who you came here to be is an expression of Source energy. That is your sovereignty.

So I’m curious, what work have you been doing in this area? How have you been practicing making sovereign choices in your life? How have you been tuning in and increasing your ability to access that divine guidance or that inner-knowing? How do you answer the question: is this my soul? Or is this my ego? Is this my truth? Or am I just being defensive? How do we learn this?

That’s the challenge, right? So often our Source to knowing was denied or shamed. And so we learn to shut it down.  We get confused or we act confused because our truth feels scary because at some point in the past, it was it was scary for someone. And so we shut it down.

There’s a reason you are the way you are in this life and that you’re called to the things you’re called to. And following and honoring who you came here to be is an expression of Source energy. That is your sovereignty.

Being in business and being an entrepreneur is such an amazing place to practice tuning in and hearing your soul’s guidance and building a business around how you’re being called. Where else can you be autonomous than running your own business, right?

And so it’s an amazing playground for practicing what I call your Sourced Magic. As an entrepreneur, I invite you to play with this and get the resources and support you need, to be able to consistently hear your truth and trust yourself over any external force that might be wanting to sway you. Get what you need to learn to live Sourced. It makes a world of difference!

This is Darla LeDoux. Please share your comments on this your own experiences, your thoughts, Don’t forget to like and subscribe to this channel. It really makes a difference. And if you know someone who needs to hear this message, please share.

Angel Cards: When to Use Them (and when not to)

Angel Cards: When to Use Them (and when not to)

Angel Cards: When to Use Them (and when not to)
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Welcome to the space for transformational leaders to unleash their magic, see better client results, work lighter, and live Sourced. Hi, this is Darla! Let’s talk about angel cards. What are they, when to use them, and when not to use them.

I’m inspired to do this video because I received a package from Amazon today. And I have a new set of angel cards, and I wanted to unbox them. Here unboxing is all the rage. And this particular deck was recommended to me by Manda Stack who works on my team, and she’s also a Certified Source Leader. You can find her on our website.

They’re called Sacred Forest, they’re by Denise Linn. I have another deck from her that I really really liked. So I ordered these. I may have an addiction. Okay, so I thought about showing you my altar and my shelf full of angel cards. Maybe someday we’ll get that intimate.

So angel cards, Oracle decks, however you want to call them, are really a way to access your intuition. So when to use them: you can use them for all kinds of things. I will often pull a card to get some information about the energy of a program I’m launching or a marketing campaign. I might I do New Moon reading. So every New Moon I pull 1, 2, 3 cards, it depends on how Sources is guiding me. And I really keep that present with me on my altar for the Full Moon cycle and watch the theme play out. It’s really awesome. It always happens. It’s always very spot on and very accurate.

Angel Cards, or oracle Cards, Are A way to access your intuition.

Now, what I want to share is when NOT to use angel cards. And we’ll do a little poll here too, just for fun, since these are new, and I’m very excited to see them!

When not to use them is when you are in an energetic space of “someone just give me the answer. I can’t figure this out, just let the angels tell me,” right? And you’re in a disempowered relationship with the cards. It’s no different than being in an in disempowered relationship with your partner or with a parent, right? Where you’re looking for approval or answers or affirmation outside of yourself because you’re not in a clear and grounded place. Most often, it just doesn’t really work, right? You’re not you’re going to get the card and you’re going to go, that doesn’t feel right, or you might act on it. And it and it’s really, it’s not a connected message.

You know, this is just mirroring to you. What’s already going on for you or is already up for you energetically and where you’re being invited to go energetically. So if your energy’s funky and off, and you’re desperate, and you’re hoping something will give you the answer, it’s just not the same impact, right?

So you want to have a really empowered relationship with the cards. I think you can have a card addiction, right? Like, oh, I don’t know what to do. I don’t know what action to take. Let me just pull a card. I’ll just pull a card. Let me do it again. Right, and it can be fun. And, again, we want to be coming from this Source, this grounded, connected, empowered place as we do.

When not to use them is when you are in an energetic space of “someone just give me the answer. I can’t figure this out, just let the angels tell me,” right?

And when we do, I just, I mean, you can’t make this shit up, right? In retreats, I’ll often put a card at people’s seats. And you know, they don’t know what card is at their seat, when they pick their seat. It ends up being the message that is exactly this thing that their soul needs to hear. So I love them. I think they’re a brilliant tool to connect with Source.

They are not the only tool, and they should not you know you, you as a Source leader. You want to be in command of the tools that work for you. I’ve had clients who like sitting still to meditate just doesn’t work for them. They are sensation magicians, they have to move the energy, but an intentional walk or a dance that’s really you know, not to avoid being still with yourself but those really intentional is exactly what’s needed.

For some people the cards just aren’t your thing. They’re not going to resonate, but maybe, you know, I have a lot of people who essential oils really like connecting with the scent of the oil shifts something and it opens them up, right. And other people, it doesn’t resonate at all. And so, you know, certainly if it doesn’t resonate, don’t, don’t go for it. But you want to have an empowered relationship, and you want to be in choice and in relationship, really not with the card, right, but with your soul.

So what is your soul here in the reading of the card, and what information is, is really relevant for you. I want to say one other thing, and then I’ll pull a card for us collectively, I see a lot. And I think it’s super fun. And, and I enjoy it when people post on social three cards, right? And it’s like, one, two, or three, which one is your card, and then they give the reading. And that’s great. Like, it’s fun, it can connect people. This also gives a clue to people that, that your spiritual, right, or your woo woo or whatever your woo friendly.

You want to be in command of the tools that work for you.

And so if you’re someone, let’s say who’s had a very practical, professional looking business, doing card polls on your social media might be like a perfect thing to cue to people that you’re actually spiritual, and that you have, you know, other tools in your toolkit or whatever. And it can be really, really great, a great introduction to that. It’s not often a big conversion tool, right?

Because what it’s basically saying is, here’s information about yourself to help you right now. But it’s not helping people to look at their own inner commitment. And that’s really the key to marketing transformation is helping people to look at, what are they committed to? Where’s their discomfort right now? What do they desire? And what’s the gap?

And so if you’re using a tool like this as like a fun, you know, connection tool on social media, you also want to think about what is the tool that I’m using to help cultivate people’s commitment to transforming and to joining a program or hiring you to help them transform. And so the hands-off kind of like reading the card usually isn’t going to do that, unless there’s some reflections, some interaction, some sharing, or you’re asking questions, and you’re helping them to discover their commitment.

Okay. Okay, so should we pull a card in my new deck called Sacred Forest? Okay, get your question in mind, I want you to think about what’s going on in your life right now that you wish you had some information about. And we are going to trust that whoever is watching this video is divinely meant to hear this particular message and I’m getting that it’s this one.

So the card is Toadstools. Toadstools. I’m not sure how close I can put that.

The word under it says, “GROWTH.” So let’s see what the Toadstools has to say:

“Things that have been incubating beneath the surface are going to be coming to fruition. Get clear on your goals and dreams because rapid growth is ahead

Be ready for these projects to come to fruition. You must first be starkly honest with yourself about what you want. Ask yourself, Is this what I really want? Believe in miracles. Also, in the time ahead, you might discover a spiritual guru or step into a new spiritual path, you might find that you are providing expansive spiritual growth for others, simply by being who you are.”

This is funny, right, because we just talked about cueing to other people that you are spiritual!

“Make sure that your foundations are in place, because once this growth begins, you will be in for a journey of a lifetime. Fungi are ancient and were the first organisms to leave the water and initiate life on Earth 1.3 billion years ago. In the forest, their interconnected filament-like roots provide protein rich food and life for the entire forest. This seemingly humble ancestor to the toadstool is so essential that none of our native conifers would survive without the life-giving qualities of their roots. Their ability to grow and survive throughout all time speaks of your ability to grow and thrive no matter what life brings. The spirit of the toadstool says beneath the surface of your life, miraculous changes are occurring. Something that you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

I love this: “something you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

“You are in a time of rapid spiritual and material growth. Get ready and hang on for the ride.”

So exciting! Take a moment and reflect on what is the message for you in that?

How does that relate to what’s actually going on actively for you in your life and your business today?

“Something that you thought was ordinary is in fact, remarkable.”

How true does that feel that you are on a spiritual journey that that you have something that seemed ordinary or something that you’ve been building below the surface that seemed ordinary?

That’s actually amazing. And it’s going to explode? I’m thinking of another video I recorded called Make this your Masterpiece. I invite you to watch that because it feels like it connects to this message today.

If you need support with this message, right and really having your foundations for whatever is about to explode, please let me know: support at sourcedexperienced.com. And really if you want to understand what tools work for you, how does Spirit communicate with you? How do you show up as your best self in your life and your business? We are the resource for you. Please do let us know. Have an amazing, amazing and really what is the word I’m looking for connected right interconnected day!

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affects Your Sales

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affects Your Sales

Interacting Without Impact: How This Affect Your Sales
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Welcome to the space for transformational leaders to unleash their magic, see better client results, work lighter, and live Sourced.

Hi, this is Darla LeDoux, founder of Sourced and author of Shift the Field, and welcome to this video about interacting without impact.

This could also be called the curse of being nice. Are you a nice person? One of our mentors used to always say serial killers are nice. That’s how they get you to get in the van with them, right?

Yet I know for me, this is something that I’ve personally dealt with. I like people to like me. I like to be a nice person. Now, the alternative is being kind and kind is better than nice. But I don’t know about you. But I like to be perceived as a nice, good person. I like people to like me. It really bothers me, not so much anymore, since I’ve done this healing work. But it’s always really, really bothered me when people don’t like me. And so how does that bode for being a transformational leader, and really having your conversations or your interactions with people make an impact?

If you want to help people to understand that they can create from a whole new energy space and have their life be totally different, you’re probably not going to do that by being nice and being liked by everybody.

Being a transformational leader is not for the faint of heart. If you are someone who wants to spread possibility on the planet, wants to help people to understand that they can create from a whole new energy space and have their life be totally different, you’re probably not going to do that by being nice and being liked by everybody. You’re just not. And so you need to get some clarity about your commitment to making an impact, and what is the priority of that as compared to your commitment to being nice or fitting in or being liked or toeing the line?

What I find is, you know, I review people’s conversations, coaching conversations, sales conversations as part of my certification program. And one of the things I find a lot of times is the place where someone kind of loses impact or loses potency in the conversation is right where I can, I can almost hear them thinking something and hear them suppressing it, like not actually speaking the truth of what’s present for them. Because they don’t want to ruffle feathers or upset.

There’s a whole host of reasons why. In fact, in my first book, I wrote about a story about a client who she literally her mom would lock herself in the closet or not in the closet in her bedroom and not come out for days, if she said something to upset her mom days, right? And she’s like, six. And so she learned what I say can really cause problems for people. And so she would think something, she would suppress it, she would not say it, she would say something else. And then the sale call would just kind of fizzle out, right? Because she wasn’t speaking truth. She wasn’t seeking impact. In fact, she was trying to avoid impact.

the sale call would just kind of fizzle out, right? Because she wasn’t speaking truth. She wasn’t seeking impact. In fact, she was trying to avoid impact.

This happens a lot, right? Where we are instantly for a whole host of reasons suppressing ourselves. This came up the other day, I was having a conversation with a friend of mine that I met here in my new city, a new friend who has a job.

And she asked me, What do you do when someone says they’re authentic? But you know, they’re not. And I thought, well, I don’t know, that doesn’t happen a lot where people come and tell me how authentic they are. But she was having this experience. I said, Tell me more. And there was a person that she works with who you know that one of the things she talks about a lot is how important authenticity is to her. And yet she found out that this person had gone behind her and talked to the boss or done something that was kind of backstabbing, that, you know, was going against her claim about being so authentic. And so she said, Well, what, what would you do? I said, Did you talk to her about it? Did you let her know? Did you have a conversation about what happened and how it impacted you? Oh no, I couldn’t do that. I couldn’t do that right, that would just like, politically at my company, that would be bad. I can’t do that. And so she didn’t, right.

And so the conversation I had with her is, well, you know, this is really about what are you committed to. And if you’re committed to authenticity, right, these things are always a mirror, right? If you’re committed to authenticity, then being a leader committed to authenticity would mean you’d have a conversation with her. And you’d let her know the impact, even if you know, it’s going to have a consequence in your company. Right? That’s what it is to have an impact. That’s what it is to have an impact is to say your truth, even if there’s going to be a consequence, or people are going to have a reaction or people might not like you, or it might, you know, create some political upheaval.

That’s what it is to have an impact is to say your truth, even if there’s going to be a consequence, or people are going to have a reaction or people might not like you.

If you being in your truth creates political upheaval, that upheaval probably needed to happen, right? And if that upheaval, upheaval happens in a way, that doesn’t work for you, then it’s probably not the right company for you. And so again, just like in a sales conversation with a potential client, if you hold back because you don’t want to upset them, you’re probably not going to get the sale. In this kind of situation, if you are holding back to keep your job, you’re probably not going to be really happy in that job. And so all of this is coming from fear or scarcity.

If I upset you, I won’t have you as a client, and then I will not have enough money. If I upset you, I won’t have you in my life. And then I’ll be alone. And I will feel afraid. If I speak my truth, and I upset you, and I lose my job. Now I don’t have money, right? But it’s like, you would find a new job 100% every time we suppress ourselves out of fear, we’re actually losing our ability to make a real impact. Now, that doesn’t mean everybody has to go around being a transformational leader and making an impact in the world in that way. I hope. I hope it continues to spread I you know, it really is.

But that’s not true for everyone. But if that’s your commitment, and that’s why I asked her right, what is your commitment here? Are you committed to being that kind of leader? And if so you got to have the conversation? And if you’re not, then you’re not, then don’t get upset, right? Don’t get upset with someone who’s out of alignment, if you’re also choosing that path. Is this helpful?

if you are holding back to keep your job, you’re probably not going to be really happy in that job.

What are you hearing in this? How might this be showing up in your life where you’re interacting with people, but you’re keeping it surface? You’re not really going there, you’re not having the potency and therefore you’re not having the impact that you could have? Where’s this showing up? And how is it affecting your ability to attract clients to convert clients and to powerfully serve your clients in this space?

I’d love to hear if this is helpful, please like please subscribe, spread the word. It really does matter for me, and for our community to draw more like-minded folks who are committed to really having that impact. This is Darla LeDoux. And I’ll see you soon!

Two Approaches to Group Coaching Programs

Two Approaches to Group Coaching Programs

Two Approaches to Group Coaching Programs
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

Welcome to this conversation about the two schools of thought, when it comes to group coaching programs. Are you ready?

Many of my clients are magical, transformational human beings who also bring a lot of expertise to their work. Maybe you have a background in a certain modality or a certain area like health and wellness, or relationships, or sexuality or business, etc.

They really want to take their knowledge and transformational skills, and put that together into a group program. Something that is accessible for a lot of people to be able to purchase financially, and also leverages their time in a way that they are showing up once and able to impact a lot of different people.

I’m guessing if you’re here, you probably relate to that. What happens a lot of times is people get into business and they see this happening. There’s a lot of marketing around how to create a course, how to offer courses, how to create group programs. A lot of people teach this, right? And yet, a lot of people who follow really good advice about this, and it doesn’t work. I’ve seen this happen so often.

And quite honestly, my very first group that I wanted to launch was a total flop there were like, no leads, no clicks, nothing, nothing happened. And I was so surprised. And yet really, there were a lot of very clear reasons that I see now why it went that way. So when you have this desire in your heart to work with groups, and particularly if you’re doing transformational work, which is our specialty at Sourced, group work is so potent for transformation, because a lot of times as a participant, we can see ourselves in someone else in the group, or they will think to ask the question, we never asked.

group work is so potent for transformation, because a lot of times as a participant, we can see ourselves in someone else in the group, or they will think to ask the question, we never asked.

Okay, so there are two schools of thought: the school of thought of jumping in and creating a group program from nothing when you have no you know, history in your business and no email list and no sales experience. Not a good idea. Okay, I’ll just say that across the board. So how do you get there? Where do you invest your time and energy and how do you build?

So there is one school of thought, which is build a big audience, create a lot of small bite sized offers where people can get to know like and trust you. And then eventually you can offer them a higher investment offer. And eventually you can offer them a higher investment offer, right? So it’s like starting small, building slowly over time.

The other school of thought is: don’t mess with any kind of low ticket or courses or anything like that. Start directly with high end high touch one-to-one service, coaching, consulting, that you offer in an individual sales call and invite someone to work with you and invest at a high level.

Now, I am much more in this camp. Because for me, when I started my business, I needed cash flow, right. So I didn’t have the time and space and energy, or really the interest in know how to build all these little offers and build up to something bigger, I just didn’t have that. But I’m also not built that way.

Where do you invest your time and energy and how do you build?

This was definitely the path for me. Now, each of these has its own unique challenge, right? In this option, you need a big audience, you need to be really good at copy and offers and opt in pages and converting and you need to get in front of a lot of people. So that’s the work here. And that can seem overwhelming, right?

The work on this side is more inner transformational work, both sides, in my opinion, require inner transformational work. But on this side, you’re stepping in without a lot of track record or proven history in this work. And you’re having an intimate conversation with someone and you’re asking them to pay you, right, at a good value. So you can live on, you know, having a handful of clients having 10 clients can pay your bills. And you’re asking them, right, that is intimate.

You’re helping them to see what they need to transform in their life that you can help them with, that’s worth investing in. And these conversations for so many reasons are hard for people. We don’t like to ask for things. We don’t like to talk about money. We don’t like to make the other person uncomfortable. But guess what? To transform, they have to get uncomfortable.

And so there are so many reasons that this is challenging. Therefore people opt for this because it feels safer, right? It’s like I can keep my distance from my audience, and sell these little things. But, again, my school of thought is here, when we’re keeping our distance from our audience, how do we know them super well, right? And how do we really connect with them?

You’re helping them to see what they need to transform in their life that you can help them with, that’s worth investing in. To transform, they have to get uncomfortable.

Now there are people who can help you with this, right? So here, you’re investing in learning your sales skills, transforming your own inner blocks, to intimacy with your clients. So you can have these transformational conversations, this is a lot of the work that we do at Sourced over here. You might be investing in paying people to write the copy and develop the lead pages and the marketing, right. And that’s great. And you can hire really great people who are really good at converting because right, you haven’t worked with clients. So you don’t necessarily really know intimately what they need. So you’ll need some help there.

The issue is, then as they get, you know, higher level, higher level, higher, higher level. Now, eventually you’re going to want to work with them privately, or they’re going to want to work with you privately. And so if whatever your marketing team developed isn’t an energetic match with what you actually want to deliver, eventually, you’re going to bump into some issues over here.

So how do you decide? How do you decide? There’s risks. There’s investment: emotional, energetic, and financial on both sides. How do you choose?

if what your marketing team developed isn’t an energetic match with what you actually want to deliver, eventually, you’re going to bump into some issues over here.

This is where my belief that your relationship to Source, which is your inner knowing, working through you is paramount. This is how you know where you’re being called, and how you are being called to show up. We’re dealing with inspiration on both sides, we’re dealing with resistance on both sides.

The more you can clear your energy field and create this connection with Source where you can ask for and receive your own personal truth in this situation, the easier this is going to be.

When I have a client who comes to me and they say, I really want this group program, I don’t want one-on-one clients, I want to do this, I want to do that. I like to really look, you know, is this a Sourced decision? Because for me, this is an easier path. At least easier path to cash. But we’ve got to look within.

The more you can clear your energy field and create this connection with Source where you can ask for and receive your own personal truth in this situation, the easier this is going to be.

So if you’re evaluating, you know, who do I work with? Who do I hire as a coach and a guide and a teacher? And I want you want to look at which school of thought are they coming from and what really resonates with you and your truth what really resonates with your Truth. We always go to truth first, right? So I’m never pushing someone toward my preference, right? We always go to their truth first.

The more you can go to your Truth first, you can hire the right people coming from the right place who can support exactly what it is you want to do. So get yourself some connection, right?

Let’s bring Source into the way we do business. Let’s bring that to God, Divine guidance in so you can choose the right path to begin with. And don’t do what I did, right, and go right for creating something that I didn’t have the background to really support. And it was crickets. And it wasn’t super fun. But I learned and I love it and I’m happy to share this with you.

What is your experience? Which school of thought are you from? What do you prefer in terms of if you’re a coach and a business coach helping your clients to build their high level practice? Where do you come from?

Lead Magnets and Marketing with Source

Lead Magnets and Marketing with Source
By Darla LeDoux, Founder of Sourced and Author of the books Shift The Field and Retreat and Grow Rich

I want to talk with you about marketing with Source. And what this might look like. How is it different to honor how Source is guiding you, and the way that you market, as opposed to creating your marketing from your head, which we often do, where it’s all Sourced, right?

We’re always learning. But even worse, we look around at what everybody else is doing and decide based on that. We could go even a step further, which is whatever the latest Facebook ad is, you’ve been served up and clicked and whatever that secret magic formula is that that person is offering that you just take it and run with it because it’s there. And they made it sound really, really inviting and juicy and easy and simple. Right?

How is it different to honor how Source is guiding you, and the way that you market, as opposed to creating your marketing from your head?

So what would it look like to market with Source? Well, first, here’s what it’s not. So let’s just take an example of in your business, you need new leads. The way that I teach marketing, I teach that there’s three stages, there’s meet, engage, activate. So you need to meet new clients, you need to engage them like they need to get to know like and trust you and you need to activate them. And so you need a strategy for each of these.

Now, it could be the same strategy, for example, speaking in front of someone else’s audience, means you meet people, you engage them. And if you can make an offer, you also activate them all at the same time, which is great, right? But you need a strategy for each of these.

And so you’re coming from your head and figuring out like, what do you want to do? But what would it look like if you had a Sourced approach to this? If you had a sourced approach to this, what would you want to tune into? Who do I want to serve? Who do I want to serve, but you don’t want to obsess about it, but you want to get a sense of who do I want to serve? In other words, don’t go crazy with the niche, right? It’s just like who I want to serve. Feel into that. Because then you’re going to learn more about your audience as you go.

Use your magic, right? I have a quiz called the Sourced Magic Quiz where you can take the quiz, your Magic, like use it, to tune in and ask your Divine guidance.

Who do I feel inspired to work with? Who am I guided to work with and there’s lots of pathways to this and use your expertise. So there are things that you know, based on your life experience, even if you’re brand new in this particular business, you have an expertise that lets you know who these people are. Maybe you’ve been that person in the past, where you’ve worked with them in some way in corporate or there’s something that you’ve done in a past experience that gives you knowledge and expertise maybe it’s on a on a particular process or certain transformation. So you let that help you to think and feel into who you want to serve. Okay?

The way that I teach marketing, I teach that there’s three stages, there’s meet, engage, activate.

Then you want to ask yourself this question, how do I cultivate within that audience a commitment to the transformation I offer? In other words, how do I help them discover that they want the transformational journey that I like to take people on? How do I help them discover that? How do I help them get committed to actually making a shift in their life that’s going to change everything? That’s the question to ask them and don’t get into the format.

It’s like, what do they need to know to realize or discover that’s going to help them be present to either the impact of the discomfort they’re in? Or the excitement of the desire that they hold to have a different result? How can I help them get present to that, and then and only then you want to look at the strategies and say, okay, which of these are the tactics really, which of these tactics is going to help me to deliver that which of these is going to help me to deliver that?

So as an example, if someone really needs to, let’s say it’s about money in business, okay? Someone really needs to get present to why they want to make more money. Let’s just say that’s something that you help people with. You want to help you want to create something, then you’re going to ask yourself, what tool is that? A quiz? Is it a journal prompt? Is it some kind of video training? Is it a meditation? It you know, what is it – a mini retreat? I do a lot of those experiences.

That’s going to help them get present to their internal commitment to making more money, because people hold it all the time as like, Oh, I’d love to make more money, but they’re not really present to their commitment. They don’t know why. And they’re not present to what they’re gonna have to give up when they do. So now you can start to say, what tactic, what specific item am I going to create, that helps cultivate that commitment when you don’t do it that way, right? When you’re coming from the other place of saying, Oh, I just saw somewhere, someone said, make a 10 page ebook. That’s the best lead magnet. So I’m going to do that. Okay, what should I write about? Gosh, I’m an expert on all of these different things.

How do I help them get committed to actually making a shift in their life that’s going to change everything?

Let me just pick from the sky, which thing I’m going to write about. And then you write about that. It’s not actually serving the purpose, right, that you and your Source guidance want to serve in this life. And then I see this a lot people end up with a lot of different like random, juicy, fabulous lead magnets, but they’re not actually Sourced. Right, they’re not actually inviting people into the transformation you offer.

Once you get clear, okay, now I know what I need this thing to do, and I’ve chosen my format, then feel free to buy a course or get a download or whatever. Have someone who’s an expert in that who’s done it before. So you can learn the details and get swipe information, like make it easier for yourself feel free. It’s possible that what’s going to come through is you want to create something that’s never been done before. And that’s also great, right?

So feel free to invent a whole new marketing strategy. But again, not just to complicate things, but because your Source guidance has led you there. So I hope you can see the difference.

what tactic, what specific item am I going to create, that helps cultivate that commitment when you don’t do it that way?

I’d love to know your experience with this.

We love helping people access where Source is guiding them as business owners and taking that kind of more sublime or esoteric information, and merging it with the practical business options to make a business that’s in deep, deep alignment, deep service to your clients and works really, really well for you.
